Only an on-court player can query the centre pass. Scorers are permitted to advise umpires that they have indicated the wrong centre pass. Both of these MUST be done before the umpire blows the whistle for the centre pass.

SAUCNA Amendment - These changes will NOT apply to 8/u and 9/u matches. Teams will NOT be required to have a second set of bibs but will need to make the changes as quickly as possible.

Throw In

SAUCNA Amendment - This rule applies to all matches. If the ball travels more than 2-3 metres away from the court the umpires are instructed to hold time until the ball has been retrieved and the player to take the throw in is in possession of the ball.

Rules Update March 2024

The World Netball Federation have implemented a new rule book which takes effect from 1st January 2024. SAUCNA will be implementing the new rules from the commencement of the 2024 Winter Season. Below is a table which outlines the changes complete with the educational resources provided by the World Netball Federation and notes regarding SAUCNA's minor amendments or application of the rules.
